Jammin’ in New York is eighth HBO special by George Carlin and they way he started his special, the honesty gave me chills and I couldn’t stop watching. It was after American Gulf War and he said “I do feel about that war they way we were told we were supported to feel about that war, the way we were ordered and instructed by our government to feel about that war. My mind doesn’t work that way, I got this moron thing I do, it is called “Thinking” and I am not a very good American because I like to form my own opinion. I don’t just roll over when I am told to”. He continued with “I have certain rules I live by, My first rule – I don’t believe anything the government tells me – nothing! Zero. And I don’t take seriously the media or the press in this country, as most of the time they function as unofficial public relations agency for the United States government. So I don’t listen to them, I don’t really believe in my country and I don’t all choked up about yellow ribbons and American flag”. And he opened his act like, and when the crowd cheered and applauded he didn’t let the moment linger, he just kept going none stop to let it all out. Jammin’ in New York is an awesome performance and proof that George Carlin had immeasurable courage to tell the truth no matter the consequences and you know what they whole audience, every person stood up and gave George Carling a standing ovation.

George Carlin Doesn’t Vote
I believe if you vote you have no right to complain, people like to twist that around, I know. They say if you don’t vote you have no right to complain but where is the logic in that? If you vote and you elect dishonest and incompetent people and they get into office and they screw everything up, well you are responsible for what they have done, you caused the problem, you voted them in, You have no right to complain, I on the other hand, who did not vote, who in fact did not even leave the house on election day, Is no way responsible for what these people have done and have every right to complain as loud as I wanted at the mess you created that I had nothing to do with.
